Is Watermelon Safe For Dogs?
Watermelon can be a nutrient rich snack for everyone, including dogs. It is packed with vitamin A, B6 and C, as well as potassium. Watermelon is 92% water so it a great source of hydrations for dogs on a hot summer day. There are some precautions that should be taken before feeling watermelon to dogs.
The seeds should be removed as they can potentially cause intestinal blockage and the rind should not be consumed as it can cause gastrointestinal upset.
It should be fed in moderation along with the dog’s regular diet much like any other treats. Watermelon can be served to dogs in various ways.
